The music icon was seen entering Arrowhead Stadium for the Kansas City Chiefs’ game versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night, demonstrating her preference for football over Kamala Harris’ pre-Election Day protest in Pennsylvania.
Video of Swift entering the stadium went viral on social media, despite rumors that she was with Harris at her rally in Pennsylvania the night before the election.
Swift was seen being led to her seat while sporting a black Chiefs jacket.
Swift’s A-list contemporaries, including Lady Gaga, Christian Aguilera, Usher, Eminem, and Beyoncé, have appeared at several rallies in support of Harris in this year’s presidential election.
However, despite publicly endorsing Harris, Swift is choosing to watch her tight end star boyfriend compete instead of showing out like the others.
Being from a Philadelphia suburb and having a set schedule, many people thought Swift was destined to make an appearance. Instead, she will support the Chiefs to finish the season unblemished in another prime-time NFL game.
Following the presidential debate between Donald Trump and Harris in September, Swift announced her preference on social media.
“I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice,” she said as the caption for the photo. “You are solely responsible for conducting your own research and making the final decision. I also want to remind everyone, especially those who are voting for the first time, that you must be registered to vote! Voting early is also lot simpler for me. In my narrative, I’ll include links to registration, early voting dates, and information.
According to Swift, Harris “fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.”
Swift’s friend and wife of Chiefs player Patrick Mahomes, Brittany Mahomes, initially expressed her support for Trump on August 13 after like his Instagram post, which included the “2024 GOP platform.” This created a commotion in Chiefs Kingdom.
